Please don't mind the messy room, I just got finished making these and snapping pics so I could get them out quickly, so I didn't have time to
shove everything out of the camera's line of vision put stuff away. Also, the sad cheetah in the background is just missing some stitches causing her to lose some fluff. She's next on my list =)
These six hooded towels are headed out to Cali to my brother-in-law and his girlfriend who've got kids to shop for. When he first called I thought he was maybe wanting one or two, but when he later emailed me with all the details and I found out he needed six(!), I got to work. Luckily, these towels don't take too long to make so I wasn't super rushed. Two of the towels are for twin girls (the pink and purple towels with flowers), a brother and sister, and another little boy and girl. I used the same flower fabric on two of the pink towels since they'd be going to different homes and it was too pretty I couldn't resist.
Now that I've got these out of the way, I've got to start working on the towels for my boys and my nephews - it never ends =D
Supplies for these towels ran about $10 each, and that also with buying matching thread (of which you'll have plenty left over). Need a last minute gift? Make a hooded towel! They put the fun in functional! Okay, that was cheesy, but you know what I mean. I love getting gifts that aren't just going to sit around collecting dust, especially for my kids. You never know what they'll end up playing with, but a towel - they'll use that a lot.
Are you working on some last minute Christmas gifts too?
